Update Farrier Case Study Five

This update is not only good but shows that a horse that has a good solid base when they are young is the best that can happen to them.

It was decided to continue to shoe "Pretty Boy" so that his training and showing could continue while at the same time allow his feet to start on a program that would give him the greatest results. The results of that decision is shown below, it has been approximately eight weeks since the first shoeing of this horse.

Initially the look of the feet have improved a great amount and the outward texture of the foot is now stronger and healthier.

This photo shows the outward and initial progression of the rear feet. Again, solid and notable progression.

On the front feet, most of the initial dishing that was noticed at the last shoeing is starting to no longer be visible. This is the initial indicator that the path that was chosen was the right one to go down, we will continue on this path for additional progression.

The rear feet progression shows us positive progression there as well.

Moving back to the front feet we can see that the change that was made in the way that the shoe was placed on the foot has allowed for the greatest support as well as to allow for the wall of the foot to start to expand out and become the foot that is suppose to be on the horse that we are working on.

The rear feet show just as much progression from the rear. The proper placement of the rear shoe has allowed the horse to obtain the gaits that are expected of it comfortably and correctly. The foot is also starting to grow in a balanced and correct manner.
